Laura Carroll

Laura serves as Educational Alliance’s Director of Institutional Giving. In this role, she partners with program and agency leadership to secure and manage foundation and government funding in support of our Downtown Manhattan community centers and school- and community-based programs. Laura joined Educational Alliance in 2025 after serving as a tenured Senior Grant Writer at Henry Street Settlement, a fellow neighborhood settlement house and large-scale social service provider.

A long-time resident of the community whose daughter attended local public schools and benefited from Educational Alliance’s wide-ranging educational programs, she brings both professional expertise and a personal connection to the agency’s mission. She holds an MA in Spanish Linguistics & Second Language Acquisition from The Pennsylvania State University, where she earned a full fellowship, and a BA in Spanish & Secondary Education from Michigan State University.
