John Gordon
Deputy Executive Director, Center for Recovery and Wellness
John J. Gordon, Jr, LADC, MAC, MCASAC, is currently serving as Deputy Executive Director of Clinical Programs at the Educational Alliance Center for Recovery and Wellness, which offers a full array of comprehensive community-based services, including the first wellness and recovery-oriented community center-based approach to behavioral healthcare. John is responsible for providing clinical guidance and leadership across all programs and treatment modalities within the CRW.
John is a New York State Master Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse (MCASAC), a nationally credentialed Master Addiction Counselor (MAC), and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) in private practice in Connecticut. John is a member of the New York State InUnity Alliance Committee with 25 plus years of experience in the field of addiction services in outpatient, residential, and community-based settings. John’s experience encompasses clinical, managerial, and training roles.
John is the recipient of the 2022 NAADAC Mel Schulstad Professional of the Year Award, recognizes an innovative individual who has made outstanding and sustained contributions to the advancement of the addiction counseling profession on a national level. Prior to joining the Educational Alliance, Center for Recovery and Wellness, John worked as a national clinical trainer and digital learning coach for a large non-profit organization where his responsibilities included providing in-person and virtual evidence-based trainings to over 1500 licensed and credentialed professionals in nine states.
