CRW Community Food Program
If you are experiencing food insecurity, the CRW Community Food Program can help.
If you are experiencing food insecurity, the CRW Community Food Program can help.
We partner with City Harvest to distribute a variety of fruits, vegetables, bread, and other assorted pantry and fresh items for free to the community. We distribute grocery bags of food on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 4:00PM – 5:45 PM on Ave D between E. 3rd and 4th Streets. Clients are welcome to pick-up food once every other week, and appointments are highly recommended (although not required).
1. Visit the pantry as a walk-in client at 5:30 PM on any Tuesday or Wednesday. We accept new clients at the end of our service. Depending on our food supply that day, we may or may not be able to give you food at your first visit.
2. Download the Plentiful App on your smartphone, or go to plentifulapp.com and create an account. You will then be able to find the CRW Community Food Program on the map in the Pantries tab. Appointments open three days in advance of pantry service.
3. Text CRW to 726-879 and follow the prompts to create your account. Once enrolled, you will receive a text message when our appointments open for booking (three days prior to the distribution day).
If you have missed an appointment for any reason, or do not have a new appointment for any reason, you are welcome to pick up food as a walk-in any Tuesday or Wednesday at 5:30PM. Although we cannot guarantee food to walk-ins, we will make every effort to give you food when you walk-in. And, at a minimum, we will schedule you for a future food pickup.
