Ben Weiss serves as Educational Alliance’s Chief Development Officer. In this role, he develops and implements a comprehensive annual fundraising strategy to serve the Educational Alliance community while furthering a vibrant and inclusive organization. Educational Alliance’s development operations encompass individual donors, major gifts, foundations, government funding, special events, planned gifts, direct mail, and online contributions. 

Ben has been with Educational Alliance since 2022; he previously served as Interim Director of Development and Director of Institutional Giving, and he brings a deep and nuanced understanding of New York City nonprofit fundraising to his role. Prior to joining Educational Alliance, Ben worked as Senior Grant Writer at CAMBA, Inc., one of Brooklyn’s largest social service agencies, and as Grants Manager at Cristo Rey New York High School in East Harlem, a school exclusively dedicated to serving low-income students. Ben graduated from Georgetown University with a B.A. in Government and serves on the Board of Advisors of the university’s Social Responsibility Network.
