CRW’s Executive Director, Robert Anderson, is one of the three member leadership team for the newly formed Citywide Addiction Services Network (CASN), which was recently an awardee for a highly competitive state wide, federal grant process.

EA is helping to lead out and work in conjunction with three major Independent Provider Association networks (IPAs) and the NYC Health and Hospitals corporation to assure that the integrated behavioral and primary healthcare needs of Manhattan, the Bronx, and Queens are met with quality, integrity and a full continuum of care.

Over 45+ providers and Health and Hospitals are delivering evidenced based and best practice care ranging from group and individual therapy to peer mentoring and recovery supports, primary medical, housing, vocational and other licensed and certified program services.

During a “dual-pandemic” where not only COVID 19 is ravaging our country, but we are also in the midst of an opiate epidemic that is costing families their loved ones due to increasing rates of addiction and overdose. Data and research show in addition to raised levels of anxiety and isolation, for every 1% increase in unemployment, there is a 3.6% correlation and rise in addiction and overdose potential.

Educational Alliance is working together and pooling resources with their CASN partner delivering care management and direct care for many families impacted by COVI19 and rising addiction and mental health. EA also provides numerous community center offerings such as helping food insecurity through our “brown bag” food pantry where we have provide groceries for over 10,000 families; feeding the Lower East Side elderly, Teen Center activities, Youth and Education services and wellness based holistic care such as yoga, Reiki, Meditation and direct individualized services.

Educational Alliance and CRW are proud to help foster a sense of hope, reduce stigma formerly attached to those seeking assistance and support for mental health or addiction, and provide a shining beacon of light to the communities we serve.
